Antonov: "I hope Russian and American experts will resume fruitful cooperation"

Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov hopes that experts from both countries will return to fruitful cooperation on a number of issues, including security. He made the corresponding statement during the Schiller Institute's online conference.

"We have created so many important legally binding documents that are in the interests of the peoples of the United States and Russia. And we have already begun a strategic dialogue with the current administration. But due to some problems, it is frozen now", RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat.

Antonov reminded that Russia and America have a number of legally binding documents, this is the NPT and the START, and these agreements cannot be undermined.

The ambassador expressed confidence that Russia is "doomed to cooperate" with America on all strategic issues, including the fight against coronavirus, climate change, work in the Arctic, and the problem of cybersecurity.

"I hope the time will come when Russian and American experts will sit together and resume fruitful cooperation", he stressed.
