Armenia and Iran discuss tourism development

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Iranian Deputy Minister of Culture Anoushirvan Bandpei to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral tourism.

Papoyan emphasized the productive partnership between the two nations in the tourism sector, noting an increase in tourist arrivals from Iran.

For instance, Armenia welcomed 166,000 visitors from Iran in the first 11 months of this year, approaching the total of 180,000 recorded for the last year.

The parties discussed an action plan for the further development of tourism contacts.
