Coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 242 in the past 24 hours to 166,669, the republic’s Health Ministry reported.
"In the past twenty-four hours, 242 new coronavirus cases were identified. A total of 156,645 patients recovered from the illness. Currently, 6,195 people are under treatment," the ministry said in a statement.
Eleven more coronavirus patients died in hospitals in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of fatalities in the republic to 3,067 over the entire pandemic period, the statement says.
The Armenian government extended the coronavirus quarantine for another six months until July 11, 2021.
