Armenia fires at positions of Azerbaijani army in Tovuz direction

Armenian armed forces fired at positions of the Azerbaijani army in Tovuz direction, according to Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, the Armenian units located near Kolagir village, Berd district of Armenia, using small rifles fired at Azerbaijani positions in the direction of Garalar village, Tovuz district of Azerbaijan on nearly 13:40 (GMT +4) July 7.

The ministry said that no death or injury cases among the personnel of the Azerbaijani army were recorded as a result of the incident.

At present, the situation in this direction is stable, and the operational situation is under the control of Azerbaijani units, the ministry added.

Yesterday, the units of the Azerbaijani troops were fired upon in the direction of Aliagali village in Aghdam district by illegal Armenian armed groups from the territory of Azerbaijan at about 17:50 (GMT+4) on July 6, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed.

As a result of the shelling, Azerbaijani serviceman, senior warrant officer Sakit Dadashov, who was involved in the reconstruction of the road, was wounded. The first aid was rendered to Dadashov and he was taken to a military hospital.
