A number of Armenian supermarkets sharply increased the cost of ginger and sell it at outrageous prices, the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition found out.
Up to March 25, one kilogram of ginger in the Nor Zovk supermarket chain was sold per 3,790 drams (about $ 7.5), on March 26-29, it was not available at all, and on March 30-31 its price was 15 thousand drams (about $ 29,7). For comparison, you can buy one gram of gold for $ 28-30, Sputnik Armenia reports.
