An unprecedented eleven-day marathon is to take place in Armenia from August 30th to September 9th, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia reports.
The project TRANSARMENIYA is aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle among young people. The event is to start at the border with the Georgian village of Bagratashen. It is an unprecedented 560-kilometer-marathon from the northern to southern part of Armenia (Bagratashen-Agarak). Russian runner Andrey Khachaturov and other runners from the club TriClub in Yerevan will participate in the 11-day-event, ARKA reports.
