Armenia is introducing its own domain names in the zone .հայ, and there are already the first applications from those who want to place their sites in the new national domain zone, Vice Chairman of the NGO 'Internet Community of Armenia' (which manages the domain zone .am) Grigory Saghyan reported.
Applications are to be received from September 1 and before December 1, advantage to register their sites will be given to state bodies, as well as owners of brand names and brands of products produced in Armenia, News.am reports.
Also, a request for geographical names, which will be reflected in the title of the resource, may be submitted by institutions of local government in order of priority, such as the mayor's office of Gyumri, and so on, the NGO reported.
