Deputy governor of Armenia's Shirak province Ara Melikjanyan has resigned.
The official thanked Civil Contract party and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for entrusting such an important office to him.
"Regardless of the position or scope of my activity, I worked and will work to solve problems of my home city and province," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Melikjanyan, however, does not indicate the reason of his resignation and said nothing about prospects of his appointment to another position.
