On Monday, May 2, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Zyaylik, Kelbajar region, were shelled by the Armenian Armed Forces, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's press service reported.
Shelling was carried out in the evening from positions located in the settlement of Yukhara, Shorja, Basarkecher region of the state border, from small arms.
The department noted that the Azerbaijani units took adequate response measures, there were no losses among personnel and equipment.
The statement of the Ministry of Defense also says that the situation in this area is stable now. The operational situation is under the full control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
It is worth adding that the Armenian Armed Forces are shelling the positions of the Azerbaijani army for the third consecutive day. Earlier, on May 1 and April 30, the positions in Zyailik of the Kelbajar region were shelled twice by the Armenian military. In addition to this, the Armenian Armed Forces shelled the village of Yellidzha in the Kelbajar region.
