An international paragliding competition will be held in Armenia for the first time, the Vice President of the Paragliding Federation of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan, said.
The event will start on July 5 in the city of Aparan and it will continue until July 11. But if the weather in Aparan will be bad, the competition will be relocated to either the village of Hatis or the town of Vedi. Around one hundred paragliders from Europe, the US, Russia, Mongolia, Turkey and Iran will arrive in Armenia for this competition, NEWS.am reports.
“Armenia with its climate and number of sunny days on the relief is a very suitable country to host such a competition,” Sargsyan noted.
