The Armenian government’s program for 2017-2022, approved today, calls for the creation of position of "business ombudsperson."
The government will develop a draft law on the defender of interests of entrepreneurs as part of measures aimed at improving the business atmosphere and protecting business interests.
The draft law is to be sent to parliament’s consideration before the end of this year. The new body is supposed to start functioning in 2018, ARKA news agency reports.
"The main task of the business ombudsperson will be to protect the violated or challenged rights of entrepreneurs and the introduction of alternative productive methods for resolving disputes," the government's program notes.
