At a press conference with representatives of the US Congress delegation, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, announced the imminent change of the Armenian ambassador in Moscow.

He emphasized that the candidacy for the Head of the diplomatic mission of Armenia in Russia had already been submitted, all that remains is to wait for approval. However, Simonyan did not disclose the name of the ambassador.

Earlier, the Armenian media stated that Yerevan would recall the Ambassador of Armenia to the Russian Federation, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, from Moscow. His place would take up a deputy from the "Civil Contract", businessman Gurgen Arsenyan.

It should be added that Harutyunyan has been the Armenian Ambassador to Russia since January 2022.
