Armenian Constitutional Court considers claim on revision of election results

The Constitutional Court of Armenia started considering the claim of the 'Armenian National Congress - People's Party of Armenia' on revision of the results of the parliamentary elections on April 2, the head of the ANC faction Levon Zurabyan said.

According to the submitting party, the reason for  the claim was numerous violations of electoral legislation during the electoral process, which affected  the election results, in particular, the bribery of voters, the widespread use of administrative resources and pressure, TASS reported.

The Constitutional Court will issue its verdict until  April 29.

On April 2, Armenia held the parliamentary election. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), which secured 49.12% of the vote, the Tsarukyan block with 27.32%, the Yelk block ('Way out') with 7.77%, as well as the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) party with 6.57% entered the National Assembly.
