Armenia's acting Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan is expected to hand in his resignation today, an informed source told Interfax.
The newspaper Zhoghovurd has reported that first deputy defense minister Artak Zakaryan and deputy defense minister Artak Davtyan may also resign today.
Ararat Mirzoyan, an Armenian parliamentarian of the Elk opposition faction, which is led by candidate for prime minister Nikol Pashinyan, said earlier that David Tonoyan, who today holds the post of emergency situations minister, could be appointed defense minister in the country's new government.
