Armenian chess Grandmaster Levon Aronian won his game against Hou Yifan at Round 6 of GRENKE Chess Classic. Thus, with a fourth win in a row, Aronian became unreachable for his opponents ahead of the final round of the tournament, becoming the winner of GRENKE Chess Classic, Panorama.am reports.
As the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am, Aronian scored 5 points out of 6, a full 1.5 points ahead of his opponents Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana.
The last round of the chess tournament will be played today.
