Yerevan asked the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, to provide a plane for organizing the visit of the head of the National Security Service of Armenia, Armen Abazyan, to Baku, the Armenian Mediaport news agency reported, citing sources in the Russian Defense Ministry.
The possible dates for the visit are January 9, 10, or 11.
According to the newspaper, Moscow did not refuse to provide a plane but demanded to explain why there was no specific date. The Armenian government said that the Azerbaijani authorities had not yet clarified the date of the possible meeting.
