The representatives of opposition and governmental forces, who took part in the 4+4+4 format discussions on the Armenian Electoral Code for two days, signed a mutual agreement statement Thursday, NEWS.am reports.
The document was signed by Armenian National Assembly’s (NA) opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), Prosperous Armenia and Orinats Yerkir factions, as well as the ruling Republican and Dashnaktsutyun factions. The representatives of the civil society refused to sign, noting that they will maintain neutrality and disseminate a separate statement.
The authorities had accepted four of the five proposals made by the opposition, expressing willingness to negotiate on them. For its part, the opposition had agreed to resume the 4+4+4 format talks.
