The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), which is a lobbying organization of radical Armenians, tried to prevent the holding in the USA of an event dedicated to multiculturalism, interreligious harmony and the traditions of religious tolerance of Azerbaijan.
The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles told that the event was held in San Francisco in one of the oldest organizations in the US - the Commonwealth Club. A delegation of leaders of various religious communities living in Azerbaijan, led by the chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations, Mubariz Gurbanli, arrived in California.
The ANCA representatives who arrived at the meeting tried to distribute leaflets with false information about Azerbaijan, but they were not allowed to do this.
