Armenian soldier killed in shootout between Armenia's servicemen

The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that a shootout between the servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces took place in the southeastern border zone at about 22:50 local time on March 31.

According to the mionistry, the shootout happened "due to a misunderstanding in conditions of extremely poor visibility".

After the incident, the body of the conscript of the Armenian Armed Forces, was found with a fatal gunshot wound. Another soldier was injured, his life is not in danger.

An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
