Armenia’s High Voltage Electric Networks officials embezzle property worth almost $100 thousand

Officials at the state-owned High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC are suspected of embezzling AMD 47 million, the press office of Armenia's Police Department reported.

According to the press release, it has become known that on March 16, 2018, the head of the company ordered to dismantle and stock some wires and cables of Noraduz and Lichk aerial circuits.

However, after dismantling the wires and cables the company officials embezzled them instead of taking stock of them. As a result, 24,372 meters of wires worth AMD 47 million ($96,700) were embezzled, ARKA reported.

On March 14, an investigation has been launched into the offense.
