Syrian President Bashar al-Assad paid a working visit to the UAE.
According to the Syrian President’s press service, he met with the Vice-President, the UAE Prime Minister, and the Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The parties discussed bilateral relations, as well as prospects for the development of investment and trade relations, IRNA reports.
It should be noted that this is Assad's first visit to the UAE since the start of the conflict in Syria in 2011.
