The Lake Maibalyk near Astana poses a flooding risk to the city airport, Kazakh Deputy Interior Minister Yury Ilyin said at a roundtable held at the parliament's lower house.
Due to heavy rainfall in the near future a flooding risk threatens Almaty, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and South Kazakhstan regions, Kazgidromet reported.
