The Akim (Mayor) of Astana Asset Issekeshev will visit Baku on September 5.
"Issekeshev is expected to meet with the head of the Baku Mayor's Office, Hajibala Abutalibov, to discuss prospects of joint work in the short term," Trend cited the Kazakh Embassy in Azerbaijan as saying.
The aim of his visit is to exchange experience in the urban development sphere in such areas as investment, infrastructure, innovation, transport and tourism.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku expressed hope that the visit will deepen the friendly relations between the two capitals and will give a new impetus to their cooperation in the run-up to the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
