Only Narimanovsky district of the Astrakhan region caused damage of 72.5 million rubles to the soil and agricultural lands of the region, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in the Rostov, Volgograd and Astrakhan regions and the Republic of Kalmykia estimated.
"The Rosselkhoznadzor specialists found that unauthorized dumps of municipal solid waste and construction debris are located on the area of 16.4 hectares in nine villages in Narimanovskiy district. The soil was contaminated with heavy metal salts - toxic chemical compounds of copper and lead," Interfax-Yug cites the message of the organization.
