Atambayev announces date of presidential election in Kyrgyzstan

Presidential election in Kyrgyzstan is set to take place on October 15, the country's President Almazbek Atambayev said.

"Multiple questions that bothered our people have been solved past 5-6 months. Kyrgyz people found their path and are heading to the big future," Atambayev said at the solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan.

"Additionally, a number of projects deemed to be successful were kicked off. Some of the achievements can be voiced right now: stability and peace. would also name Kyrgyz army as one of the achievements of Kyrgyzstan," AKIpress cited Atambayev as saying.
