Austrian and Israeli authorities signed a strategic partnership agreement, Austrian Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer said.
"Austria and Israel have close cooperation, especially in the defense and economic spheres, as well as in the field of civil society. Therefore, we have concluded a strategic partnership agreement", the statement says.
It is clarified that the agreement should concern "deepening cooperation on a wide range of issues - from the exchange of students and scientific research to joint activities in the field of defense".
