The Austrian authorities have decided to introduce capitation controls at the borders of the republic, Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann said in an interview to the newspaper Österreich.
According to Faymann, the Schengen agreement has been ‘temporarily stopped’.
He explained such actions of the authorities of the country were due to the situation with the mass influx of refugees. In this connection, Austria intends to vigorously monitor and expel migrants who are not entitled to asylum, TASS reports.
