Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation warned that in the mountains of Adygea and the Krasnodar Territory a storm warning was announced for avalanches.
It is specified that the warning is valid for the height above two thousand meters until 18:00 on March 12. In this regard, the Central Command of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory asks to observe security measures.
What to do if you get caught in an avalanche
First of all, you need to lie down in the direction of the snow and try to stay on the surface of the snow stream, while making swimming movements with your hands. You need to move to the edge of the avalanche.
In the event that it was not possible to escape from the snow captivity, you need to get rid of all unnecessary equipment and take care of oxygen: close your mouth and nose, and then clear the snow in front of your face and chest, creating a kind of "air bag" in front of you. And in no way should you give in to panic, as this increases the consumption of oxygen.
