High avalanche danger is expected in the period from 6:00 PM January 10th up to 6:00 PM January 11th in the Sochi mountains above 500 meters, the North Caucasus Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring reports.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia in Krasnodar Territory worked out codes of conduct for residents and visitors of the region in terms of avalanches, UGA reports.
The ministry urged residents and visitors to stick to safety precautions in the mountains.
