The Azerbaijani parliament has submitted a draft of amendments to the Migration Code in order to reduce the time it takes for foreign tourists arriving in the country to receive electronic visas.
Currently, the executive authorities must take a decision on their assignment within 10 days of the date of application. The amendments provide for that period to be reduced by half.
The purpose of this change is to improve the procedures for tourists entering the country.
The draft amendment was recommended for discussion at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis, Trend reports.
