On Tuesday, following the negotiations between Azerbaijani and Latvian Defense Ministers, Zakir Hasanov and Artis Pabriks, an agreement on military cooperation between the two countries was concluded.
The meeting of the Minister of Defense took place in Baku today.
"Expansion of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia was discussed at the meeting of the Defense Ministers. There was also an exchange of views on the military and political situation in the region, security issues, as well as for the relations development prospects", the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry press service informs.
The head of the Latvian Defense Ministry expressed the readiness of his country's specialists to take part in clearing the liberated territories in Karabakh from mines and unexploded ordnance.
