Azerbaijan and Turkey committed to peace, but Armenia does not renounce its claims

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said that Baku and Yerevan are ready to normalize relations with Yerevan, but Armenia does not give up its territorial claims.

"Turkey and Azerbaijan convey their peace-loving positions to Armenia. The two countries are ready to normalize relations with Armenia and open their borders simultaneously. However, Armenia must renounce its territorial claims against Turkiye and Azerbaijan," Hajiyev said in an interview with Turkish media.

Commenting on the situation around the implementation of the Zangezur corridor, he noted that the two countries are building a new geography of the region. "Azerbaijan will continue its struggle, together with fraternal Turkey we are building a new geography of the Caucasus," said the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan.
