Azerbaijan and U.S. discuss regional importance of Zangezur Corridor

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov held a meeting with Executive Director of White House National Energy Dominance Council Jarrod Agen in Washington.

The sides discussed the Zangezur Corridor (Trump Route, TRIPP).

"We exchanged views on the strategic importance of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) in ensuring interregional energy connectivity, energy interconnectors between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Central Asia, and Europe," Parviz Shahbazov said.

The launch of the Zangezur Corridor, which is designed to unblock crucial transport links in the region, was one of the provisions of the agreement signed on August 8 in Washington by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
