Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to host U-20 World Cup

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will co-host the final stage of the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup in accordance with the decision of the FIFA Executive Committee's meeting, the Azerbaijan Football Federation Association said.

AFFA expressed their gratitude to the members of the FIFA Executive Committee, especially to President Gianni Infantino, for their high level of trust and confidence.

This will mark the first time in football history that a men’s World Cup tournament is held in Azerbaijan. Additionally, it will be the first time that Azerbaijan’s men’s national team will participate in the final stage of a World Cup.

This year, Azerbaijan won the Futsal World Cup, held in Baku.
