Progress has been made in negotiations on a peace treaty with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.

"Azerbaijan and Armenia are continuing border delimitation efforts. We will witness positive steps in the near future," Bayramov said.

According to him, talks on a Baku-Yerevan peace treaty are continuing, and Azerbaijan forwarded the latest version of the draft to Armenia a few days ago.

However, the Armenian constitution still contains a point on territorial claims against Azerbaijan, the diplomat noted.

"This is one of the biggest hurdles on the path towards peace. We expect Armenia to take appropriate steps in this direction," Bayramov said.

The Azerbaijani FM stressed that certain progress has been achieved in talks with Armenia.
