Today Azerbaijan marks the end of Ramadan. Many thousands of Muslims are making festive prayers in the mosques of the country.
In addition to the central mosque of Baku, ‘Tese feast’, where the head of the Caucasian Muslims Office is located, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade has turned to the worshippers, public services are arranged in all the country's mosques and prayer houses, Interfax - Azerbaijan writes.
Earlier the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the muslims of the country. "Dear compatriots, I heartily congratulate you on the blessed holiday Ramadan, convey to each of you my most sincere wishes," the President said.
"The holding of this sacred holiday at the state level shows how much we appreciate the multicultural principles and the principles of tolerance," Ilham Aliyev said.
"Today we reiterate to the world that remaining committed to the national values in our souls, we maintain human values as well. We take our religious, ethnic diversity as the richness of our spiritual integrity. Therefore I convey to all our citizens, all compatriots living outside the country, heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of this dear day for us, and wish your families happiness and well-being, and your homes health and wealth. Happy Ramadan!" Trend quotes the President of Azerbaijan as saying.
The head of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, has also expressed his congratulations. "From the bottom of my heart I congratulate all the Muslims of the world on this dear day – a blessed Ramadan. I wish for you that Allah will accept your fast and your prayers,’’ the statement reads.
