Azerbaijan's top gold producer, Anglo Asian Mining Plc, will start large-scale work on the new mine Gadir in August.
"Gold production for HY1 totaled 35,938 ounces, copper production – 418 tonnes, silver production – 6477 ounces. The company targeted production of 70,000 to 75,000 ounces for the year," Trend reports.
In addition to the new mine, the company operates in six fields - Gadabay, Ordubad, Gosha Bulag, Gizil Bulag, Vejnali and Soyutlu.
