Azerbaijan establishes Organizing Committee for 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to create an organizing committee for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which Azerbaijan is set to host in 2027.

The committee will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, with Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov serving as his deputy.

This 30-member body will oversee all aspects of planning and preparation for the major international tournament.

Azerbaijan will co-host the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup with Uzbekistan, marking the first time the youth championship will be held in two countries.
