According to an opinion expressed by the head of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Abulfas Garayev, in summer the majority of tourists to Azerbaijan will be from Russia, Iran and the Gulf countries.
He explained that this year the flow of tourists to Azerbaijan is due to increase.
"Two days ago the Azerbaijani delegation visited the two countries in the Persian Gulf: Qatar and Kuwait. All their media wrote about the tourism potential of Azerbaijan. The AZAL airline has already discussed the organization of direct flights. Therefore, we expect a large influx of tourists from the Gulf countries,'' Trend cites Garayev as saying.
