At an event held today on the last day of the First European Games, President of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey has been handed the flag of the European Games by the Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan and Chief Executive Officer of Baku 2015 Azad Rahimov, the Operating Committee the First European Games reports.
At the event, Patrick Hickey said that in a little over 30 months Baku has became the patron of the First European Games. The biggest contribution of Baku-2015 is that this event has laid the foundation for all subsequent European Games, he said.
