Azerbaijan helps countries suffering from Ebola

The Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN, Yashar Aliyev, has informed today that the Azerbaijani government is to allocate $1 million to help countries that have suffered from the Ebola epidemic. Aliyev also reminded that in the formative years of the new Azerbaijani statehood, the Republic had experienced big troubles.

"The problem still exists, but it's a bit easier today. As a result of the conflict with Armenia over 1 million people became refugees. At the same time, the international community assists Azerbaijan. We do not forget about this. Azerbaijan, which was once a recipient country is turning into an active donor. We do not forget the good and the good things needing to be done in respect of other countries,’’ Report.az cites President Aliyev as saying.
