The opening ceremony of Azerbaijan’s trade representative office was held in Beijing on yesterday. The ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan's Economy Ministry minister Shahin Mustafayev.
The minister noted that China is one of the main trade partners of Azerbaijan. "In the list of trade partners of Azerbaijan, China ranks 4th in total trade turnover, 8th in export and 3rd in import," Mustafayev said.
He added that the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 43% and amounted to $1.2 billion in 2017.
The minister said that that the opening of Azerbaijan’s trade representative office in Beijing will play an important role in developing economic and trade relations between the two countries, AzerTAc reported.
