Qualifying competitions in men's artistic gymnastics at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku have ended this morning.
Azerbaijani gymnasts managed to qualify for all individual finals.
Men’s vault, pommel horse and horizontal bar qualification events were held today.
In horizontal bar exercises, Azerbaijan's Murad Agharzayev and Bence Talas advanced to the finals by gaining 14,15 points and 12,8 points respectively.
Bence Talas scored 14,1 points, while Murad Agharzayev - 13,85 points in pommel horse exercises.
In men’s vault exercises Murad Agharzayev came eighth with 12,35 points, which allows him to participate in the finals.
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games are held in Baku from May 8 to 22. Athletes will compete at 16 sports facilities in 20 types of sports - 17 Olympic and three non-Olympic ones. Competitions in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics were included in the program of Islamic Solidarity Games for the first time at the initiative of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Mehriban Aliyeva.
