The position displayed by the Council of Europe puts Azerbaijan’s future membership in this organization into question, the Azerbaijani President's foreign relations chief, Novruz Mammadov, said.
"Along with some bodies of the European Union, PACE also demonstrates that international law is of no significance, the principle of 'we want everything our way' prevails," Mammadov posted on his Twitter page.
He noted that the "position of these bodies on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a vivid example of double standards. Regrettably, there are those in Europe who still fail to realize where such a policy leads and what the outcome could be. Such a position displayed by the Council of Europe puts Azerbaijan’s future membership in this organization into question."
