Azerbaijan has accepted Turkey's proposal to discuss the China – Europe corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line, TRACECA National Secretary from Azerbaijan Akif Mustafayev said.
Turkey proposed to convene a special seminar to discuss the issues of the transport corridor in April, and Azerbaijan is ready to participate in the discussion.
"Turkey suggests a complex examination of the matter, including technical aspects (completion of construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway), customs and border (simplification of border crossing procedures) and tariff issues. We consider the completion of the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line as the most actual," Mustafayev said.
Turkey offers a discussion on bilateral or trilateral basis (Azerbaijan, Turkey and possibly Georgia), abc.az reports.
