Mount Buzdukh and the peaks adjacent to it were taken under complete control of the Azerbaijani army as a result of improvement, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports.
"As a result of improvement carried out by our units on the territory, Buzdukh Mountain and the surrounding heights were taken under the complete control of the Azerbaijani army," the department’s statement reads.
Early morning on August 3, members of illegal Armenian armed formations acting on the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed, carried out intensive shelling of Azerbaijani positions in the direction of the Lachin region, resulting in death of a conscript soldier.
During the Retribution counter-terrorist operation carried out by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the heights of Gyrkhgyz and Sarybaba, as well as a number of other important command heights, were taken under complete control. Several combat positions of the Armenian illegal armed formations were destroyed. An air strike was carried out on the military unit, the manpower of the Armenian illegal armed formations was eliminated, as well as several D-30 howitzers, military vehicles and ammunition.
