Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizade met with the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who is also the co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The sides expressed their intention to develop cooperation in the energy sector, as well as make an effort to enhance the level of trade turnover and expand the legal base.
Ali Alizade noted at the meeting that the trade and economic mission of Azerbaijan will arrive in Pakistan in the near future to discuss prospects of cooperation and establish new contacts with the Pakistani side.
Pakistani Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, in turn, expressed his country's interest in deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres.
