The Ministry of the Defense Industry of Azerbaijan plans to export large-caliber ammunition, RPQ-7V2 grenade launchers and sniper rifles to Iraq and scopes to the United States and Russia. The ministry is currently holding talks.
"We will supply 500 RPQ, 500 mortars and ammunition for them to Iraq. We hope that as a result of ongoing negotiations, we will achieve important results in exporting this year," the Minister of the Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said.
The politician revealed that in 2013 the country exported weapons worth 123 million dollars, and 100 million dollars worth in 2014, Trend reports.
