The Azerbaijani Minister of Defense, Zakir Hasanov, will visit Minsk in July. A meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers is planned there.
Hasanov announced his participation during a telephone conversation with his Belarusian colleague Viktor Khrenin. Khrenin, in turn, congratulated the Azerbaijani Minister of Defense on his 65th birthday.
The upcoming meeting first became known in April, during a conversation between Viktor Khrenin and the Secretary of the Council, Major General Yuri Dashkin.
The Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, who missed all previous meetings, is not expected to attend the event.
