Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry urges world to demand Armenia de-occupy Nagorno-Karabakh

Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has urged the international community to influence Armenia, to push it to de-occupy Nagorno-Karabakh and the districts of Azerbaijan surrounding it.

"On the night of April 2nd, Armenia, with the use of heavy weapons, attacked the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces along the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops. Points of concentrated residence of civilians near the front line were under artillery fire from the side of the Armenian Armed Forces. As a result of the irresponsible actions deliberately undertaken by Armenia, there is information about dead and wounded, as well as serious damage to private property. The situation remains tense at the moment. Attacks on Azerbaijani positions along the contact line with the use of heavy artillery continue," Trend cites the report.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that unsuccessful attempts by Armenia to blame Azerbaijan for the aggravation of the situation on the front line are aimed at deceiving its own citizens and the international community.
